Carlena Benjamin

Mrs. Benjamin is a native of Booneville, Mississippi and is a
1997 graduate of New Site High School. She received a B.S. degree in
Biological Sciences from Mississippi State University in 2001 and continued
her education to receive her 7 – 12 teaching license in General Science,
Biology, and Chemistry. She began her
teaching career at Thrasher High School where she taught Physical Science,
Biology I and II, Anatomy and Physiology and Science Skills. While teaching, she continued her education
and received a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis
in Secondary Science Education at the University of Mississippi in 2005. Carlena joined the NE faculty in 2007. She is married to Burton Benjamin and they
have two daughters, Lily and Lola. |
