Helen Thompson
Mathematics

Thompson is a 1986 graduate of Tupelo High School. She received
a B.A. degree in Political Science from Southern Methodist University in 1990.
In 1992 she earned
a degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Mississippi and
began work at Tupelo High School teaching Algebra, Geometry, and U.S.
History. She accepted an assistantship
at the University of Mississippi in 1995 where she taught Statistics and
College Algebra. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, she
took time off to spend raising her family until coming to Northeast in 2003. |
