Mary Lou Beckman

Beckman

Beckman, a native of Starkville, Mississippi, is a 1978 graduate of Starkville Academy. She received a B.S. degree in Mathematics Education from Mississippi State University in 1983 and a Masters of Education in Mathematics in 1986 from Mississippi State University. She taught at Starkville Academy from 1982-1988, then Wood College from 1988-2002.  When Wood College closed, she taught at Mississippi State from 2002-2003 when her husband was transferred to Alabama.  She then taught at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) and Athens State University until they were transferred back to Mississippi (Tupelo) in 2005.  She has been here at NEMCC since the Fall of 2005.  She is married to Bill Beckman and they have two children, Trey and Leigh.
